So I bought an Ishapore 2a1 7.62x51 "jungle carbine" and it has a rear peep sight rather than the standard enfield sights. I need to order a new handguard for it and can't find any enfield handguards listed for a jungle carbine. Can I just order a standard enfield mk1 handguard?

Thanks to anyone who knows.

Id like to see that one....

No. 7 “Jungle Carbine” Shortened version of 2A/2A1 rifle, with flash hider installed. Like the 2A Tanker Carbine, this is strictly an aftermarket modification. There never was a carbine version of the Ishapore 2A/2A1 rifle, and there never was any such thing as a “No. 7 Jungle Carbine.” The Lee-Enfield No. 7 rifle is a .22 caliber training rifle, similar in appearance to a full-size No. 4 rifle, which was made in both Canada and Great Britain in the late 1940s. They are clearly marked as such.

Is your Navy Arms or Gibbs???

Sorry don't have photos because it's back in my hometown and I'm away for a while, but I'll post when I can.
I know that it was cut down to resemble a jungle carbine and I believe it's the same dimensions as one.
I am not sure if it was navy arms or gibbs I will get back to you on that.
All I know is that I got a great deal on it, the aftermarket peep is awesome, and if shoots great. I'm excited to kill a deer with it.

They never made a carbine version of the Ishapore 2A or the 2A1..............Could be a Enforcer, that would be a L42A1

Ok. It is an Ishapore 2a1. No 1 MK 3, in 7.62x51 Nato, cut down to resemble a jungle carbine by either navy arms or gibbs, and then had a rear peep sight added, and I need a top handguard for it. Which one will fit?

Is the peep sight on the rear of the receiver,or in front of the receiver? Could be a cut down #4. Numrich has lots of Enfield wood. Check with them. I restored a #4 mk1,and bought all new wood from Numrich. Very reasonable prices.
