My son's first gun is a 37 Deerslayer, when he turned 14. Now he is 29, more guns, and we added a 28" vent rib with screw in chokes for birds. He can and has hunted deer , doves, and ducks with it.

i own 2 37's.one with a 30 inch barrel full choke and one with 27 in mod...i have fired slugs from the mod and they shoot fine.
