...that make me love winter.

I finished loading up a bunch of match .308 Win loads (50 1x W-W brass, CCI BR2 primers, 42.0 gr RL-15, 168gr SMKs), a box of .25-06 Rem hunting loads (20 Hornady 1x brass, CCI BR2 primers, 50.9 gr IMR 4831, 115 Nosler Ballistic Tip), and prepped the brass for 200 rounds of .45 Colt. I'll finish those tomorrow...gotta be ready for CAS this Spring, have already made up 400 rounds, with 200 more, I'll have my practice ammo all ready to go). I also filled a rear bag for rifle work, cleaned a couple of semi-auto rifles, assembled a new Caldwell Lead Sled, pulled bullets on 20 .25-06 cartridges whose loads didn't work out well, and squared away a new RCBS turret press (I've been using a Lyman T-Mag II...okay but priming is a PITA, now I've got multiple turrets set up for all calibers and small and large pistol/rifle and two universal hand primers, one for small, one for large).

We got about 8" of snow last night, I had day planned...driveway and walks shoveled, ammo loaded, rifles cleaned...now I'm ready to slip into something light and comfortable...like a coma, as I'm about to turn 65 and running out of gas.

PS - I forgot, I started today by mounting a second RCBS Accessory Base Plate, so I could have my Turret Press and Case Trimmer set up at same time.

Life is good. I think I'll drop in at Bass Pro Shop on Thursday and pick up a new BACO, Inc Win mod. 70 in .308 Win...I've been shooting a lot in that caliber lately...I'm a .30 cal guy but planning on a 6.5mm 65th B'day present to self...just seems right. LOL

They're a sayin we're fixin to get between 6" - 8" here tomorrow. :what: I'm still a kid when it comes to snow.

I'm about half way through getting 500 new Starline 45 Colt brass ready to go.
I saved those for tomorrow. :D

Winter really is the best time for getting caught up on reloading. Getting ready for spring varmint season, 223 for two rifles to load. Just finished the fun task of load development for a Winchester 94 30-30, my 91/30 Mosins, Ruger Vaquero 45Colt and my neighbor's Hornet. Now it's time to crank out the rounds to fill up those empty ammo containers.

I've had all the winter I need for now.
Only got about 300 pcs of brass left.
Now I'm lookin' for a self-sufficient widow/divorcee so we can afford a place in AZ in the winter.

That way I can comfortably shoot all year round. :D

That's funny right there! :)

I personally recommend an elderly rich widow with a severe cough who can't spell pre-nup and has forgotten her children's names.

Cheers,
