Jeff Cooper's works and the 1911

I am a big fan of the 1911. So was Jeff Cooper. I am still a neophyte and always looking to gain knowledge and insight. I just bought Cooper's Principles of Personal Defense and have begun to read it. Are there one or two books by him that focus mainly on the 1911? I'd love to read more about the platform and his thoughts on it. Thanks.

There are older publications, like Cooper on Handguns, etc, that are more directly about guns than the Gunsite books (the regular books, like "Another Country", etc, which have a variety of topics). Try finding those on a search, or Amazon, etc.

I've read Jeff Cooper most of my life until his fairly recent passing. My first class at Gunsite actually had Cooper teaching and advising students. BTW Cooper loved the 45 but He had fell for the CZ 75 and was real hot for the BREN 10.

Jeff Cooper was also my senior instructor when I took 250 at Gunsite in 2001. When he found out I enjoy auto racing, he invited me up to his home the Sunday after the class to watch the Grand Prix of Monico, so I spent that afternoon with him and his wife, Janell. One of the "never forget" events of my life.
