grey,

Looks good. I love Novak Hi Powers.

Can you reveal some details about it? Is it a MKII? MKIII? How do you like the Novak thumb safety? Can you provide a close-up picture of the thumb safety? (In on and off mode?)

What grips do you have on it?

Who at Novaks did the work?

Really nice.

Steve

Thanks guys!
It is a 72 vintage gun that I would like to think I rescued from someone who allowed it to be covered in surface rust and untold amounts crud that all but encased the interior. Here is what I had done:

1) Spec Ops package
Novak's 3 Dot Night Sight System
Sight In
Crown Barrel
Hand Matte Front with Milled Border around Serial Number
Hand Matte Back Strap
Hand Matte Stock Screws
Reliability Package
Trigger Job
Carry Bevel Package
Bevel Magazine Well
Bead Blast & Blue Refinish

2) Novak extended thumb safety
3) Hand matte top of slide with border
4) C&S Commander hammer
5) Spegal Blackwood grips
6) 1911 size night sights
7) Matte bead blast barrel
8) All new Wolff springs throughout

It took only about 6 weeks! I was amazed at the short turn around time. The cost of the work and parts was $1,400. I know that sounds like a lot of money but when you see it in person and fire it you know that it was money well spent! I can not tell you how nice this gun is. I only have had time to put a few rounds down range but I can say it can out shoot me! Mike Silket at Novaks did the build. He was very nice and helpfull. I wished I had befor pics. You would not believe it was the same gun!
