Hi, all...did a search for this, but found nothing, so I'm asking the various and assorted assembled wizards here:

How interchangeable are parts between the AK-47 and Mak-90?

I find myself wanting to replace the funky, clunky, uber-chunky stock on my Mak with something a little slimmer, maybe a nice thumbhole, but I don't see much in the way of actual "Mak-90" specific gear. TONS of AK stuff, and I'm hoping I can take advantage of it...

Thanks in advance for any info, guys'n gals!!

Depends. The MAK-90 was made with both a milled receiver and a stamped.

My post isn't going to be a great help to you, but I have read (memory is foggy as I researched this for my brother's MAK-90 way back) that some people had issues with certain aftermarket stocks fitting correctly. We did not. We put the Choate model on a stamped receiver MAK-90 with no problems other than having to slightly Dremel one little spot to make space for a rivet in the receiver. I'd call that fitting, not incompatibility.

I would definitely do a search on Google and the various gun forums, particularly AK themed ones. Search for MAK-90 and stock or replacement stock or aftermarket stock.
