K9 elite rust: slide or sight

Noticed this up close shot of a k9 with a spot of rust. Wonder if the culprit is the slide or the sight? I'm a sucker for Kahr's stainless frames T9, mk9, k9, but am spoiled to Glock's almost nonexistent level of finish prevention required. I fear rust. Maybe this guy just really neglected his K9.

That is def the sight rusting. This can happen on any gun...esp the ones that are more corrosion resistant because people tend to not oil them as often. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it though. Nothing a little bit of elbow greae can't fix.
