I sold an FR-8 in gunbroker earlier this year and keep seeing them in there . So that's where in the world you can get one.

Nice handy little rifle, not much bigger than a mini-14. Mine had been my favorite 'truck gun' knockaround multi-purpose rifle. Strong, accurate, easy to shoulder and sight. What's not to like?
Israeli Muaser
The Israeli were given a bunch of German K98 after their country was created. They were re-barreled by the Israeli to .308 and re-stamped new marking. They can still be had on Gunbroker for $200-300.
Very interesting history to those guns, they went from fighting to destroy the Jews, to helping the Israeli people defend themselves.
