Hi,
I have a KA713 Tower Pistol Kit from CVA. I have looked on CVA web Site No info. Can Anyone help with Cal, Load, or any Info on it? The little book that is with it is dated 1976.
Earl

The only information I can find on it is that it's a .45 (.451 bore) with an 8 1/4" barrel, and it was available flint or percussion, and rifled or smoothbore. Which is yours? This info will be enough to start working up a load.

cva tower pistol

Hi Earl, I had a CVA Tower pistol , it was a flintlock, 45 cal in kit form. I think I paid about 40 bucks for the kit, around 1981. That was the best shooting little flintlock! I used a .440 patched round ball, not sure of the amount of powder, probably not more than 40 grains or so. Plain barrrel of course, with no sights. Wish I still had it. I wll look around , I may have an old CVA manual with loads in it. Have fun!

What you can do about terrorism? Grow Up!

I just had a look at that site - WHAT A JOKE! and a waste of good clean air!
Honestly, these idiots should visit Verdun, The Marne and the Somme before they mouth off about the French.

mothernatureson's numbers sound about right. I'd experiment with charges between 20-40 grains 3f and use the load that gives the best accuracy. Let us know how it shoots.

The kit is percussion, Rifled. I have to finish assembly, 90 % complete, Clean barrell as it has some rust on it, and then try it out. Thanks for the fast answer. send charge and any more information so I can buy supplies.

Oops. Sorry, Duncan, I didn't notice your post earlier...

A sense of humor is part of the necessary equipment.
