So, I know there are a ton of CW threads out there, but I'm looking for a stack-up of these two pieces in particular. So far I've figured this much out.
Kahr P9 pluses:
-I've fired the Kahr CW9 before, and despite being told that I'd hate it, I didn't hate it. It kicked, but it didn't seem like it was kicking more than a 1911. I just couldn't put all 7 rounds in a bottle target in 3 seconds (without a lot of practice).
-Fit and finish seemed to be about what it should be for that price.
-It's the ideal size for me: fit my hand just right, even though it's small. Half grips annoy me, and this wasn't a problem.
-All Kahr pistols can apparently eat a steady diet of +P.
P9 minuses:
-I loathed the sights, so I'd probably have to get a P9 instead of a CW9 to be able to swap them, which drives the price up a bunch.
Kel-Tec PF9 pluses:
-I can buy two, plus holsters, for the price of a P9.
PF9 minuses:
-I've never shot one, so I don't know what recoil is like.
-Don't know if they are +P rated.
-I've heard that they need rough edges taken off to reach their potential.
So, has anyone shot both, or owned both, who can help with the stack-up? It's looking like I'm going to just save up the money - I don't know any place around here that rents Kel-Tecs to make a determination, and so far it looks like the Kahr is just a better pistol.
