To be slightly off-topic, I noticed the gun pic is hosted at cardomain/sounddomain.
Are you more into the car side or into the stereo side? I've been over at sounddomain since before the first glitch.

I'm more into the car (truck to be more specific) side. And to be honest, I'm really not all that much into it.

You owe us a range report now. Let us know how it shoots. I've been looking at the PM9 vs the P9 and can't quite decide which size is optimal.
PM9 - smaller outline and fits in pocket for summer carry.
P9 - my hands are on the larger size and fit the P9 a little better.

Durango, you can always go with the Covert size... the best of both worlds. The smaller grip that conceals marginally easier and the longer barrel to get the most possible velocity out of the hotter rounds.
Or maybe it's the worst of both worlds... Short, uncomfortable grip that is difficult to carry in the pocket!
I know a lot of folks don't like the Kahrs or don't have any interest in them though they haven't shot them, but I think they're great guns... Very well made, good customer service if needed, good triggers, good sights...

To reply to the point that cratz2 raised, I like my P9 Covert very much, as I believe the grip is the principal issue in CCW, not barrel length. The Covert doesn't weigh much more than the PM9, is very accurate, and mine feeds perfectly - a great CCW gun IMO, but also not bad for range shooting.

You guys who refer to gun purchases as "Look what I picked up today" are lucky! I get a gun on average once every 2 years, if I'm lucky.

The report is going to be a little delayed as I'm not going to have a chance to get to the range this weekend. However, I did stop by Wally World this morning and picked up two 100 rnd boxes of Winchester Value Pak 115gr FMJ. These, along with the box of Speers 124gr Gold Dot HP's that I picked up with the PM9, will be making the trip to the range in the near future.
Here's another dark pic of the PM9. This time next to his big brother.

WOW! That PM9 is really small compared to your SIG! So small I can't even see it!

I'm going to see how the Speers 124gr Gold Dot HP's feed and they'll probably end up being my carry load. Any others that I should consider?This seems like the right place to submit a PM9 range report.

I got it yesterday, and today ran about 130 rounds of Winchester 115 gr target thru it, without a single problem.
The only thing I noticed is that when starting a new clip, and releasing the slide, it's a good idea to let the slide go with some gusto, instead of babying it. I'm used to handguns with stiffer springs, I guess.
At first I couldn't shoot it straight, was as much as 4 inches off at 21 ft. I've never owned a DAO. But I started getting the hang of the trigger and did much better later on.
I wasn't sure what to expect for recoil, especially since it's my first 9, but I found it surprisingly comfortable. I'll be wanting to try some kind of + ammo next.
Being so small and light, it almost feels like a toy. Which makes me wonder how many rounds it could live through?

I'm within one range trip of putting 1000rds through my PM9.

I'm going to shoot it until it breaks.
I think, with most quality guns, if you don't have a problem within the first 300 rounds or so, then the gun is sound.
If you take care of them, and clean and lube them correctly, you should get many thousands of rounds before any breakage occurs.
I think I've read of KelTec P11s with 15-20,000 rounds through them.
There is no reason a Kahr shouldn't be as durable, if not more so.

I have noticed a little problem. When the slide is forward, and a loaded clip in place but no round in the chamber -- then if I pull the slide all the way back, the slide release is tough to operate. I ended up releasing the slide by rapping my fist on the bottom of the clip. Maybe it needs a trip back to the manufacturer after all.

I finally made it to the range yesterday afternoon. However, the indoor range at the club was inexplicably closed when I arrived. Undaunted I proceeded to the outdoor range where in atmospheric conditions of 8 degrees Fahrenheit and bright sunshine I ran 100 rounds of Winchester 115gr FMJ and 25 rounds of Speers +P 124gr Gold Dot HP's through the PM9.
I started with the Winchester FMJ. During the first 13 rounds, the gun failed to feed twice. Once with the 6 round mag inserted and once with the extended 7 round mag. Both times I manually pulled back the slide to feed the round. The pistol cycled the next 87 rounds of Winchester flawlessly, however twice the slide failed to lock on the final round of a mag - again once with each of the mags.
The PM9 cycled the 25 rounds of Speers +P HP's without a hitch. I could discern no noticeable difference in recoil between the Winchester FMJ and Speers +P HP ammo. Although at 20 feet I was all over the paper during the session, this speaks more to my own abilities than to the accuracy of this pistol. The PM9 is a lot of fun to shoot and it left me wanting to shoot more, and if not for my frozen toes, I would have run another 125 rounds through it.

When I pull the slide back with an empty chamber and a loaded mag, the slide doesn't lock on my PM9. It shouldn't - should it? 
My PM9 doesn't like Speer 124gr +P Gold Dots. Shame too, because I bought a boat load of them in those 250 round loose packed cartons... No biggie, my SIGs will feed them. I do find that the PM9 likes the CorBon 115gr +P's, which some guns find too short and choke on.
I'm thinking about at least one more Kahr... they are addictive. Really sweet night sights too!
