Kahr PM9

A test review called the recoil of the PM-9 "snappy" and that describes it very well. Not a lot of mass vs. a high power round and it jumps when fired. I'm not very accurate with mine yet, but it's a lot of fun to shoot, and when I pull a gun from the safe, It's usually that one. It does a lot of things well. I've heard of people getting scraped by the slide or slide stop, but that has never happened to me. (Maybe I'm holding it wrong.)

My wife actually thought she preferred J-frames until she shot the Kahr this weekend. I hope it doesn't get commandeered out of my pocket this week.

I moved from the Seattle area to Florida last fall. I carried a G19 for years as I was able to wear a light jacket or heavy shirt to conceal it. Not so in Florida.

I got a PM9 and it's my primary carry gun. It disappears easily in warm weather clothing. I carry it everywhere.

I fitted my PM9 with a Hogue Handall Jr. grip sleeve and Pearce base plate magazine extension. This configuration is perfect for me.

I was surprised at its accuracy.

It shares the same manual of arms as my G19 so all my training carried over to the PM9 (and vice versa). Operator skills are identical. When we go on trips out of town the G19 is the car gun and the PM9 is my carry gun.

Good luck!

Shawn: IMO you have two great guns in the G19 and PM9. Own um both also, love um both, they both go bang every time, My 24/7 carry though is my PM9..
