Found some range brass, 308 ppu with heavy black streaks of residue from neck to head. It also has a mean dent I'm the middle of the body, the brass is deformed enough to not fit in my case gauge (l.e. Wilson)

I have plenty of 308 brass at the moment (not true, one can never have enough brass, powder, primers or projectiles) and I am thinking this brass may be too beat up because of the dent/collapse of body to fool with.

What sort of rifle does this?

What would you do with the brass?

It's been fired in either an H&K or Cetme rifle, with a delayed blowback system. The striations won't hurt the brass, other than cosmetically, and the dent should blow back out when fired. They won't be pretty when reloaded, but they will reload.

Hope this helps.

Oh, and there will be a sliver of brass kicked up on the base of the case, too. I usually just hit those with a file to remove the burr.

Hope this helps.
