Hi, I was looking into purchasing this gun as a general ranch truck handgun since I like the .22 magnum round quite a bit. It has a 30 round capacity and weighs in at 19 ounces. I'm simply looking for any feedback or information on this gun, preferably from any with firsthand experience or knowledge. Thank you.

I would jump over to the KTOG group where there is a whole forum on it.

The .22mag is not a great auto round as it has reported incomplete powder burning issues in the PMR. As well the design is a modified blow back where there have been a few reported Kabooms from the round either exploding while ejecting or not being completely in battery when fired. Also I believe that KelTec is currently shut down on production to redo the barrel design due to some keyhole issues they are trying to resolve that are barrel twist related. They are also removing the barrel fluting. In any event these are well liked by those who have them (I still can't locate one so haven't bought one yet) and are wonderfully fun to shoot. Magazines have to be loaded very carefully for reliability. Also if you buy one get with KelTec and see what modifications if any need to be done to bring it up to current specs under warranty.

I don't mean to be negative, KelTec really stands behind these things and they continue to evolve into more reliable and better functioning pieces. Truly a leading edge auto in my opinion and relatively inexpensive. The 30 round mag is amazing.

Kel Tec has put out five status reports in addition to lots of small bits here and there

Go to the KT website, look under "news" and you'll find a wealth of info on the (somewhat botched) PMR30 release. And for full disclosure, I am aware of all the possible quirks of the pistol and I still have one on order anyway ... KT makes interesting guns and I want one to play with, we'll see if it has a practical use beyond making me grin after it arrives.

They're coming out of an eyedropper.
an apt description
KT got boned by their heat-treatment contractor, and they are (wisely) not expanding just to produce a pistol that will saturate the market at some point ... leading to idled machines and employees after demand stops.
(of course, they fell on the other side of the line instead, it isn't a win for KT except that they sell every unit they produce ... I get the impression from their PR on facebook and their website that they'd be delighted to have a reserve stock and no middlemen clogging up the production pipeline)
