I like the idea of this weapon but I am afraid of inacurracy, especially when the 9mm bullet slows down into subsonic speeds.

When does this happen?
Is it a legitamate concern?
Any ways to mitigate the problem?

Mine is quite accurate. It will go subsonic way past where you will have need to shoot anybody in self defense (assuming you are not loading subsonic).

Besides, it's not a big deal dropping below subsonic at close range. Long range target shooters are the only ones who need worry about it.

one of my nephew's has one of those, he's pleased with it. I read the manual it even states that 'performance ammo' is preffered and it digest my hot handloads (we both have 9mm Carbines I have a Marlin Camp) easily. accurate too 100 yds won't be a problem on dinner plate sized targets. actually my Camp is the gun I grab if I have to go outside any distance from my home, unless I grab my SXS 12ga Mag.

Could one hit the paper at 100 yards?

Absolutely. Do your part and you could probably hit paper at 200 yards. Past that is pushing the envelope of effective range for a 9mm due to trajectory and loss of velocity.

Keep in mind that the Sub2000 adds velocity to any 9mm round, compared to a pistol. So often you'll end up with a bullet at 100 yards, with equal velocity to that at the muzzle of a 9mm pistol.
