One of my "bestest buds" lost his reciever and bolt to a bad round he had posibly double charged. He got of easy with no personal harm. One cannot be TOOOOO careful. wc

Sellt he ammo to someone for components. If that guy can't reload and make the rounds chamber, who knows what powder or how much of it is in there. I wouldn't risk a kaboom....just my .02

will they chamber in anything? If so, I would trade them to someone for some good reloads. Tell them about the issue and where you got them. It's amazing, but some folks will shoot any reload without questioning it.

If that doesn't work, I would imagine that you could trade them off to a local reloader for a few hundred pieces of loaded .223 ammo. I'm not a .223 guy, but if someone had that problem with a pistol caliber, I would definitely trade them for 50%.

Pull the bullets. Dump the powder (since u don't what it is) Resize, trim decap. At least u will have the componants.

I would not trust anything at this point.

Pull the bullets, run the primed brass through a sizer with the decapping pin removed so you can salvage the primers, charge with NEW powder and reseat the bullets. Check the case length as you do this.

It will be a lot of work but it will only cost you the price of a couple of pounds of fresh powder.

Resolution

Hello All,

Thanks again to everbody who put in their .02 it was much appreciated. Just wanted to let everyone know I was able to find the guy that I bought the ammo from this past weekend at the Berea OH Gunshow, and I recieved a full refund for my troubles, and without any incident. I was pretty disappointed that all that ammo was bad, but I have to give the guy credit for giving me a full refund without giving me a hard time. I can't say I'll ever buy ammo from him again in the near future, but at least he was a stand up guy about it. Again, thanks for the advice THR. Happy shooting.
