For what, a year Kimber has shown this new pistol on its web site and it's still vaporware.
Then Ruger comes out with the SR9.
Anyone else see the resemblance?
What do you think is going on?
Different barrels, frame molds and sights, but it looks like the same gun. Kimber may be marketing a rebadged Ruger.
EDIT: Or maybe not, the take downs are in different spots. Maybe the same designer... or... industrial espionage...
The bore axis looks lower on the Ruger, thats not ordinarily a true statement.
I don't think the two are related. Hear-say is that the KPD has some problems that they've yet to iron out. Whether there's truth to that or not, I don't know.
i can't get over how much uglier the ruger is with a stainless top. still better than the fat hips on the P-series. kpd has bugs? anybody got one? what's the price of one?
