some of you may remember my post about getting rid of my fire arms. well i cleaned them and packed them away and decided to just leave them alone until i felt ready again.
last night around 11:30 me and my friend were driving back from exxon. about 10 minutes from my house we get behind someone driving 15 miles an hour in a 25. Then he swerves off the road and gets behind us. He folows us (in a white suburban) for a mile then turns and cuts us off a tenth of a mile down the road. he blows through the stop sign and gets in front of us. he slows down and we do this the rest of the way back to my house. There is one hill up to my house in myu subdivision, we are drivbing up this and half way through the hill he slows down to 5 mph. At this point the jokes about how drunk he is stop and we are genuinly worried. Then he turns at the four way, and we go striaght towards my house. We are sitting in the drive way in his car thinking man what a [removed] drunk [removed]. then his car goes down the street, turns into a driveway, turns around, then parks in my driveway blocking my friends car from leaving. He gets out of the car and starts taking picture with his camera phone of the plate. At this point i roll down the window and ask him what the hell he's doing.
we step out of the car and he walks towards my friend (in my driveway, mind you) and kinda backs him up to his car. He starts screaming at him that we had our brights on. and that we were going over the speed limit.
at this point i start backing away slowly towards the house. i yell at my friend"dont answer his questions, don't talk to him, he's [removed] in the head, get in my house now!)
so he waits on the porch at the door to keep an eye on **** while i grab my glock, load it, and put it in my pocket. this takes about 5 minutes because it's all packed away. i Run down stairs and back to the door. and say (im still not sure if he's an undercover or what at this point, so im still polite) "Sir i have to ask you to leave my property or i'l call the police" to which he replies "good, get the goddamn magistrate!" so i run in and get the phone and give him a second to change his mind. when i walk back out my friend said he left.
in all, this lasted about 10-15 minutes in my driveway
i didnt call the cops since he left, however this morning i filed a police report at our subdivision police department. hopefully i did the right thing
i didnt want to escalate the situation with a gun if i didnt need to and i didnt want him to go to jail if he just snapped due to a bad day. so i feel i did what my personal ethics would allow.
all in all, i learned theres some seriously [removed] up poeple in the world. and this stuff can happen to you even if you live in a subdivision. glad i kept my guns.
i hope this is somewhat readible i stayed up all night drinking coffee with the lights dimmed. and went to work. not much sleep.
the cop said i should have driven to the P.D., that somehting like this should be percieved as a gang initiation in our area, we are close to the biggest bunch of MS-13 in the country.
anyways, what would you have done?
