Last Shot Slide Stop Question

Are there "home remedies" for mags that don't consistently hold the slide open after the last round? I have an M&P 45 and every once in a while the slide doesn't stay open. I don't think I am hitting the slide release. At any rate, I haven't tried the two free mags they mailed me on their rebate deal so we'll see.

Are there things one can do to mitigate this problem? The two mags I have used so far feed flawlessly and hold open most of the time...just every once in awhile. I have another double stack auto that I don't recall ever failing to hold open.

Your slide stop lever might be slipping under the follower in the magazine. If that's the case, try the other mags, or try to work the fitting of the magazine.

replace the follower and possably some wolffs extra power magazine springs...
