I've been borrowing a friend's 10/22 for a few months, and the other day I texted him and offered to buy it from him, because I've been enjoying it so much. He said he would think about it.

That was a few days ago. Tonight as we're hanging out, he tells me "Merry Christmas" and hands me some scope rings. I was mystified for a bit, until he said "You already have the other half of your present."

:D:D:D:D:D:D

It's a stock 10/22, nothing fancy except for the auto bolt release. I don't want to crap it up with some useless Archangel furniture, but I would love to mess around with different iron sights, maybe get an extended mag release... what all modifications should I look into?

I'm frisky as a squid on Tuesday! zoidberg.png

For me the reasoning was this:
-TSR-200 adjustable for elevation at rear sight.
-TSR-200 allows for the "Insert Ready Aperture System".

As well as reviews and such I had read. The TSR-200 just seems to give you the most flexability. Not to say the TSR-100 would not be a top notch sight, its really just your choice

Put a decent scope and a Volquartsen trigger group in it and you'll have a great little rifle. The trigger was the best upgrade I ever did to any of mine. If you wanna go a bit further, put a bull barrel and a laminate stock on it.

BTW you got a cool friend. Keep him around.
