Lathe suitable for gunsmith

A friend is selling one of his lathes, a Logan 10" with a great many accessories and tooling on floor stand. Located near Tacoma, Washington. I checked it out and it has been refurbished completely, but could use a coat of paint. If interested, eMail me and I'll pass on his telephone number.

Do you know how big the through bore of the head is, and how long are the ways?

I have a Clausing 5914 that wieghs 1200 pounds.
It cost me $50 to get it moved 10 miles. Another bidder wanted $475.

Generally, the flow of used lathes is from the midwest to the Pacific Northwest, because of the lack of heavy industry and so many hobbiests.
