Least expensive favorite handguns (auto)

Bersa Thunder 380 has been great so far. A little stiff at first but after some dry firing and some rounds down range everything has smoothed out nicely. Pretty good trigger for a $300 pistol IMO. It is a pleasure to shoot with low end reloads. Factory ammo is a little snappier than I like though.

Here's pictures of my P-95 and P-89 out where I go shooting.Great values for $325.Super reliable!

More kudos for the Bersa Thunder series,,,

More kudos for the Bersa Thunder series,,,
I bought mine when they were only $265.00 each.

bersas-lr.jpg

They have my personal favorite action,,,
DA/SA with de-cocker.

Both are very accurate and reliable,,,
I have several thousands of rounds through the .22,,,
It runs any ammo I feed it with the exception of Remington Golden Bullet.

I have several pistols that are a more recognized/popular name brand,,,
And most of them were much more expensive to purchase,,,
But if I were to lose everything except for my Bersa,,,
I would still consider myself to be well armed.

I almost forgot I also have a Star Firestar M-45 in the starvel finish, in fact it is a very accurate little .45acp and very attractive also. I think I paid about $260.00 about 20 years ago or so.

I'll put a word in for RIA as well. I really like their compact models. I have 1 in .45, and a 9mm as well.

Other than that, the Sig P225 ex-german police I got a few years back at $350 is pretty awesome too.

Least expensive favorite handguns......

Cant get any cheaper than free....Beretta M1934 .380, WWII bring back that my father-in-law gave me.

And a used Kel-tec PF-9 9mm that I bought for $223 OTD. Great little gun!

As a few others mentioned the Canik/Tristar line are outstanding values in my opinion I bought a C100 (75 compact) last year And have put over 500 rds through it with out any issues... it subs as a edc or another house gun . I think it ran me 360$ otd

Ruger MKII, $179.00.
Bulgarian Makarov, $129.00.
LNIB CZ 75B SA, $329.00.
NIB S&W 642-2, $329.00.
Traded a used, but nice, Yugo SKS that I paid $179.00 for, plus a couple hundred rounds of ammo, for a NIB Ruger Single Six convertible that was on the shelf for $400.00.

Debating some deals right now, but won't be losing money on anything that I do. Did that exactly once., less than $100.00, but I swore never again.

Lets see...favorite cheap guns.

1. Phoenix HP22a. $120. Works pretty well and is reliable but the frames have a short lifespan. After a little over 3,500 rounds the frame cracked. The gun still worked fine but I sent it in anyways. The company sent me a brand new one. Only problem is that for a non FFL holder to ship a handgun it costs $50 or so.

2. Raven MP25. $100. Would stovepipe 2 times per mag when I got it. After adjusting the mag and a little patience, the gun works with perfect reliability.

3. FEG PA63. $150. Got it in almost new condition. Works with excellent reliability. Just be aware of the pins under the grips if you take them off. If one falls out of place the gun is useless.

4. Kel Tec P40. $200. Carried a lot but not shot much. I had to polish the internals up quite a bit before it was reliable but I stayed with it and it now works very well.

5. Rohm RG23. $75. After reading about how crappy they were I bought one anyways. Accuracy past 20 feet isn't great but for what it is this thing has surprised me. My cousin's RG23 has a few thousand rounds through it now and mine has over 1,000 so I guess the model 23 isn't too bad. The cylinder star is showing some major wear on his though so I believe it is nearing the end of it's life.

I bought a NIB EAA Witness P-S for $300 at the last gun show I was at. Fine pistol for the money. Used milsurps are great guns for the money, Maks, FEG's, Polish P64's, Tokarevs, CZ82 and 83.

Just picked up a Ruger P345 LNIB $300 OTD
150 rounds later best performance per $ in my safe so far.

The CZ75B is awesome and will last you a lifetime. They are known for durability, reliability, and comfortable recoil.

Another excellent choice is the Springfield XD. They're comfortable, durable, and a major plus is that they've got a lifetime warranty...even though you'll probably never need it. After the trigger is broken in, they're among the most accurate guns I've ever owned.

Wow. Stoeger Cougar was only twisted twice so far. Well, here's the third.

I, too, think that the CZ75 is a bargain.

I was wondering what your favorite least expensive auto handguns are.
Cheap: TT-33s and Variants. Loads of fun, accurate, reliable, concealable. The least I paid was $140 and the most, ~$225. I have eleven assorted, including 3 Russian, sans add-on safeties. I stocked up on milsurp 7,62x25 ammo (and a QTY of inexpensive S&B commercial) before it got expensive and then went away ... also setup to reload.

Least Expensive: Two early-style Star PD (.45ACP) that I acquired several years back off of Gunbroker ... IIRC, one cost me $205 and the other, ~$225.

My EDG for 6 years was a KelTec PF9 ($235) ... I am carrying it again until I get the issues with my "upgraded" my XDs45 sorted. I replaced the PF9 trigger with a Northwood and ever since it has been a pleasure to shoot.

firestar m45 I picked it up used for $290, with a spare mag , i wanted something in 45 that was a little bit easier to conceal compared to a full size 1911, the star is built like a tank , shoots great , and i feel i have a real gun in my hands when shooting it! it's now my favorite , and am rarely without it !
