I have been told that I have Remington 700 Lew Horton edition. It doesn't have the black forearm cap but it does have a hinge floor plate and a 26" long barrel. Is there anyway to tell if it is a Lew Horton. And what makes Lew Horton so different.

What the.... Good mourning to you sir... After you wake up, take your meds and get a couple cups of joe in you, try this again.:D

Just funnin' with you... apparently you have seen a Remington 700 that is a dealer special run for snortin' Horton....

Give a description or better yet a part number and we will be better able to assist you in your quest for information.:D
Lew Horton is a firearms distributor that the dealers buy from, you must have a FFL to purchase from them and LH requires you to indeed have a store front.

LH does not make any firearms.... they, along with several other distributors, do have 'special run' of firearms made for them... keeps the dealers hoppin'.
:D
