Think lights on handguns is a new concept? Below is a pic from a book copyrighted in 1915. The concept is there, it just took awhile for lighting technology to catch up. I thought some might enjoy this pic.
This is from the late 70's before the laser, it shoots a concentrate beam that is adjustable, so you can make it coincide where the sights are looking.
It also have some springs to take the recoil, the batteries (C tipe) free float suspended by springs.
The barrel goes in the top part and secure with a screw that clamps the housing on the barrel.
Up front are two screws that move the free floating reflector to adjust the beam (like you adjust the lamps in a car)
It was advertised in Guns & Ammo and maybe other guns magazines.
I think I paid $35 for it.
I used it in my S&W Combat Magnum as a night table gun, for a while.
