After I get some accurate loads down, I am going to start loading for SD. I've always used Speer Gold Dot HP, but got a small list of others that I wouldn't mind trying. Wanna know what everyone thinks is better, Speer Gold Dot HP, Remington Golden Saber, Magtech First Defense or Guardian Gold, DRT HP, or Barnes M/LE TAC-XP? Let me know what you guys think.

Magtech First Defense or Guardian Gold, DRT HP, or Barnes M/LE TAC-XP?
Are you asking about reloading, or factory loads?
I was not aware you could even buy some of those as reloading component bullets.

Gold Dot bullets are very good if you can find them somewhere.

Hornady XTP's have always performed well for me.

I also like Golden Sabers, and they are cheap.

I have loaded GS, XTP, Rem 'standard' hp and Magtech 'open nose' slugs.
GS gives me tighter groups but the OAL varys a bit due to irregular shape of the tip.
XTP comes in close second and Rem std's and Magtech a close 3rd.
I've shot 3 game animals with 185 gr GS in .45acp +P loads out of my Camp Carbine tissue damage was impressive.

I say go with the Golden Sabers. Perform well and they are cheap enough to practice with. Some of the others I personally can't afford to practice with. Like rcmodel said, I wasn't aware some of those could be purchased as components.

sorry, I should have been alittle more specific, these are going to be components, thinking of loading them in Starline Nickel Plated brass with CCI primers.
