I just ordered two suppressors. One for my 45acp a DeadAir Ghost M and plenty of extra wipes.
And for my Baretta 92FS & Baretta Cx4 storm a DeadAir Oddessa-9
Lets discuss the 9mm. I have some Rainier RN 147 grain. I also have 100 168gr RN as well. So my questions.
1. Whats the best powder to use for least amount of noise.
2. Hypothetically, assume same powder used. If i make a load for the 147grain to achieve 900fps and a load to make thr 168g go 900fps. Which round will be the quietest? The 168 or 147? If there is a difference would it be noticeable?
3. If i make a load so whichever bullet goes 900fps and another load to make the same bullet go 800fps will the slower bullet be quieter? And would the difference be noticeable?
4. For those who handload 9mm for use with a supressor. What do you use? Powder, bullet weight
Now for the 45acp. Is 230grain loaded to go 850fps workable for the Ghost-M or should i load a 250grain to go 750fps?
Ideas? Suggestions? Thoughts?
I do realize i have some time to work on this because it will be next year before i get to enjoy my nee suppressors
