Loading the .280 Ackley Improved

I'm having trouble finding much information regarding loads for the .280 Ackley. Although I shoot at the range quite a bit, my primary search is for a load that I can use hunting deer, elk and moose. I prefer to stick to max bullet weights of 150 grains. Suggestions?

Go to hodgdon's website at www.hodgdon.com They list a multitude of loads for the 280 Ackley Improved.

It's listed in the latest Sierra manual. I've always used Reloader 19 or IMR4350with 150 grain bullets, mostly the 19.

If you stumble across a PO Ackley manual, BE CAUTIOUS. His 4350 max suggestions would be too hot for this cartridge, in my rifle anyway.
