I remember reading about Lones in various publications back in the '60's. An exceptional marksman!

I met Lones Wigger in 1981. I was the Mississippi Representative to the NRA Convention in San Antonio. I was with Gen. George Pickett and we had coffee with him. He was a true Gentleman.

I had the pleasure of being squadded next to him at Camp Perry one year back in the 80's during the individual, High Power championship. A true gentleman, a fantastic shooter and we need more like him. He regaled us with story after story of his shooting experiences and answered every question that was posed to him.

His daughter, Deena (sp) is, like her father, a wonderful shooter.

Been to the Ranch a few times and had the pleasure of running into him many times over the years at gun shows, local matches, etc. One of his Daughters was married to a MT Hwy Patrolman I worked with. Heck...SHE was a great shooter too!

I do know that several years back he used to attend SHOT Show sitting at the Eley target ammo booth.

He was a heck of a shooter. A loss to all of us.
