Long Barreled Mak?

I was watching a video on Russian guns on you tube when they showed what looked like a long barreled Makarov.

The magazines for this pistol look like Mak mags, but only longer and maybe even double stacked. Can anyone tell me where I might be able to find one of these long barreled Maks for sale? I've never seen one in any shop or online and therefore wonder if they didn't make it into the US before the ban on Russian goods.

a semi only stetchkin would have been amazing, supprised Baikal hasn't made one yet. I would buy the hell out of a 20 round fullsize pistol that fired 9x18 lol!

consider that this gun is out of production since late 1950s, and appropriate tools and jigs are long gone. It was also described in local (Russian) gun literature as a machinist's nightmare, as it was very tricky (and expensive) to manufacture.

Few original guns were converted to semi-auto in early 1990s and sold in European markets for collectors. Few more were even more castrated, and now can fire only 'less-lethal' ammo with rubber bullets, which is legal in Russia for self-defense of ordinary citizens.

So, what you all are saying is that we'll never have an opportunity to own this gun. Is it alright for a manly gun owner to shed a tear over his just realized but now broken dream of owning this beauty?

It's not quite impossible...I've seen a Stetchkin parts kit, and noting would prevent a person from building a semiauto pistol from it. Well, nothing except skill, interest, and opportunity.
