Keep looking their very hit and miss Didn't fit my hand well at all. Go with the Colt Defender or New Agent . These are very reliable and have a great foolowing I have both and Defender my main carry in 45. Para long long gone.
Kimber also seems to have got the compact 1911 working right.
I had one in 9mm and it was a very good shooting pistol and it was totally reliable. After I purchased a PM9 I gave the Para to my son because it was so much thicker than the PM9 and not at all suitable for pocket carry.
My ex had it's predecessor, the P-10, for a little while: I liked it, she didn't. The recoil is sharp and the gun is very sensitive to limpwristing, it will malfunction frequently if you don't use a solid grip and good form. On the plus side, I had no failures of any kind and found it to be accurate and fun to shoot. I still want one, but it's lower on my list because it really is a chunky little gun. For concealability a single-stack compact 1911 is going to be much more versatile.
A lot of P-10/Warthog complaints stem from the short grip. I bought the Pearce Grip floorplates for the mags and put Pachmyer rubber grips on mine and love it! I carried as a BUG while on active LEO duty (now retired) in an anke holster. Had to qualify with duty ammo 4 times a yr-Fed Tactical 230gr +P JHCs and over 5 yrs never had a problem ever. If you add those minor tweeks (under $40) it makes it a whole new ball game.
