Does anybody have a source for 170 grain swc hard cast 357 bullets? The Lee books shows some very impressive numbers for these bullets with AA#9. This is for a back up gun when warthog hunting. I'm guessing this is a home made bullet casting. Can't find anything in the catalogs. Thanks

I used to cast and sell these. Still have all the molds but the last 2 years drove me out of the business.

This bullet is almost a pain to load in .357 brass. It's just too long for most chambers. I recommend crimping over the front driving band or loading in .38 Spl cases.

It's a good one though with great performance.

Most Rugers & late model Smiths will accept the 358429

If not just trimm brass until it does !

Lyman also made the 357446 which has 2 small lube grooves & normal length nose , mine drops a 165 gr slug & don`t over look the Gas checked 358156 .

If your not a caster check out MBC , I`m sure Brad will have some suitable for hog medicine !!!

Mastercastbullets.com has these hardcast bullets

.38 CALIBER 160 GRAIN RN $61.00 PER K.3575
.38 CALIBER 180 GRAIN FP $69.42 PER K .3575
