I'm looking for a holster for my USP 45F, preferably IWB as I will be using it for both carry and IDPA. Either leather or kydex is fine, but it must be canted. What are my options?

Ordered a Comp-Tac which should be here sometime next week. The adjustable cant seemed to meet my needs.

Comptac and Tucker Gun Leather are the two best IWB holsters, and Blade-tech is the best OWB holsters IMO.

My Comp-Tac CTAC arrived today!

I've played around with it a bit, and the adjustable stuff is great. It's not uncomfortable to wear at all.

How do you like it? Does it conceal it well enough? What kind of clothes do you have to wear with it? I'm thinking of getting one for myself.

I use the Don Hume IWB holsters for all of my guns. The are very comfortable and well made. The gun in the pics is my HK USP 45 compact.

So far, I think it's great. The standard clips are VERY stable, and it's pretty comfortable to wear. We'll be on a trip this weekend to the western part of the state, so I'll report back on Monday-Tuesday how it worked during actual use (in the car, how it draws, regular carry, etc). My only complaint at this time is that it would be nice to have another level of holes on the clips to make it go deeper IWB.

I traded this one off a while back, but the holster was great - I got another of the same style for a 1911, and it works well. My only complaints are that it isn't canted enough (the 1911 one, I prefer a large angle), so I made my own leather "strut" to fix that. I'd recommend this holster, or any other Comp-Tac product if they're of similar quality, to anyone.

The USP and this holster just fit together so well, moreso than the 1911 and the same. It concealed very well.

MTAC for USP - Review

On fletcher's recommendation, I purchased a MTAC holster for my USP. The MTAC is similar to the CTAC, but with leather behind the kydex for comfort against the skin.

I've only been wearing it for a day, but it is very comfortable and conceals very well. It took a little adjustment to find the right setup that positioned the pistol where I want it and provided comfort when sitting in a car. I got it with the C-mounts, for ease of taking it on an off. They seem to work well so far, but I think the Standard mount look more stable.

The adjustability is great, and really allows me to arrange things for comfort and concealment. Works well with a tucked in shirt as well which is really great.

Comp-tac Victory Gear customer service was great. Regularly emailed me with status of my order, which arrived very promptly. Additionally, the included candy (smarties) in the bag, which my daughter will greatly enjoy.

Overall, I'm very happy with this holster.

Just ordered a SERPA Sportster for my S&W 637, didn't realize that SERPA's were available for HK USP fullsize, but apparently they are. Virginia has a law that if you are carrying concealed and enter an establishment that serves alcohol, you must open carry.

I'm thinking of keeping a retention holster in my car for open carry (currently the Bianchi 7 Shadow II which is (was) currently my primary holster, but this would require me to undue my belt to switch from IWB concealed to open).

I have a Safariland pocket holster for the 637, and figured the SERPA would be a decent paddle for open carry, without having to undue my belt.

Hopefully next year they will actually manage to get the law passed that allows concealed carry were alcohol is served. It sucks having to open carry just to eat dinner at restaurant.
