As I've mentioned recently I've got the above rifle bought new in Beaver Utah, along with a brick of CCI ammo. I've since shot just about every type of .22LR ammo thru it with out a hitch, close to 1000 rounds.

Well recently I installed an AR-15 Picatinny Riser made by Target Sports Tactical, and put an inexpensive Simmons Sport Scope (4X) on it. Seems to hold zero pretty good.

Next I put picatinny front sling swivel on and a cheap Wally world nylon sling on it.

Anyway my wife had jury duty in Las Vegas, so while I was waiting for her, I decided to go to Bass Pro Shops. Low and behold I happened into a Caldwell XLA Bipod (9-13"), and the Caldwell Bipod Adaptor for picatinny rail. Naturally when we got home I installed that.

Needless to say this is one fun plinking rifle if I do say so myself. The only thing it is lacking is a flash suppressor, and in order to install that myself, it would cost well over $75.00 just to get the jig to turn the barrel. It sure is too bad that no one has a clamp on flash suppressor with set screws available. I don't care much for that long or even short barrel shroud.

Any how any suggestions on the m-4 flash suppressor for the S&W M&P 15-22 would surely be appreciated.

I love mine. I got mine to use to teach my son to shoot when he get solder. I personally don't care for 22lr much. I haven't shot my Buckmark in over 4 years.

But this little 15-22 is just awesome. Lots of fun.

I added a barrel shroud to mine. There is a bolt on flash hider, but it looks kinda funky. I just decided to get the shorter Tacticool barrel shroud. Makes it look a bit like a suppressor.

Shipwreck, where could I get a clamp on flash suppressor, I've looked I thought, every where. Even that "Tacticool" sight you gave me a while back.

I set mine up to mirror my LE6920 as a trainer, it has the factory FS. I also have a sub caliber conversion, but hated cleaning the AR after shooting .22LR. Mine has been utterly reliable, and definitely a big hit with anybody that comes to my place to shoot.
Here’s a pic of my 9 year old shooting it:

I just picked mine up on Tue. I got the performance center model and really love the match trigger, barrel and receiver. With my silencerco sparrow attached and shooting sub sonic ammo it is really sweet, no hiccups of any kind. I am waiting for a new Nikon to put on it and will make it even better will try to get a good pic then.

I have one and love the gun. More important, my girlfriend loves the gun and shooting it. It replaced a Mossberg 715T which quite didn't have me thrilled.

Chuck R, I do appreciate seeing a young man enjoying shooting. Sure brings back fond memories of my 4 sons growing up. I've got one grandson, and 5 granddaughters all but one was a shooter growing up, however my granddaughters gave up on guns as soon as they discovered boys.

My grandson is/or would be an avid shooter however he is growing up in California, the fact of the matter is I built him a .22LR and gave it to him for Christmas, and then had to go and take it back to Nevada due to California's screwey laws.

Needless to say I'm storing his gun in one of my gun vaults, and he gets to shoot it, when ever I get to take him out here with me. Now I'm sure he will fall in love with this S&W 15-22, as I have. Hopefully someday before I'm too old to enjoy him he and his Dad, and Mom will move out here with us, or Arizona. I'm a retired Southern Ca. police officer and I even hate going into that state.

Grassman, Did you have the end of your barrel threaded, for a screw on flash suppressor from MagPul?
No mine came threaded. There are a couple different models of 15-22. Mine came with threaded barrel and Magpul sights. Then i put the rest on.

Thank ya Shipwreck for the info on the muzzle brake attachment, think I'll have to order that, and drop them a note to see if they have any of the clamp on muzzle breaks for the M&P. I believe I also saw them somewhere but I believe they were for the Mini-14 and were secured by the front sight pin. Thanks again. LN

I've had one since February, it has become my favorite .22. Another plus is I don't have to chase the brass at the range.

Thanks for the links Shipwreck! I will have to pick up on of the adapters and a barrel shroud for my 15-22.

As a side note, the only ammo my 15-22 didn't like is the Winchester 22lr bulk packs. Everything else worked flawlessly.

here is mine next to the Colt6920

Arizona, thanks for the info, I saw that in the Tacticool article also, however, for $28.00 including shipping I've sent for the muzzle brake. If there is a gap between the barrel and the brake I'll definitely fill the gap as you mentioned. I do thank ya though.

fmj50, and everyone else that helped with my dilemma, especially fmj50, I ordered that muzzle brake on Friday and got it delivered today via the US mail. It was a simple attachment, using the red thread locker and a allen wrench after inserting it on the end of the barrel. Once I figure out how to put a photo on this new computer, I'll do so. I can't believe how fast their shipping is, fantastic.

Now the rifle looks complete, from stem to stern so to speak
