3" is a great .357 belt gun length, long enough for good sight radius and good ballistic performance, short enough to conceal well under a long tail shirt OWB in a slide holster. I have a Taurus 66 3" older gun I carry on occasion and a 3" Rossi 68 5 shot .38 from 1981 that is a dandy, but I don't carry. I bought it for my step dad to get my grandpa's S&W M10 away from him, then he passed away. It shoots well, but isn't really an extraordinary revolver. Makes for a decent .38 kit gun, though. I can shoot it a little better than a 2" gun due to the sight radius.
