When you lube the 51 what all are you applying the lube to ? I have been useing just a little lube on the arbor(Cylinder pin) a wipe of lube in the cylinder pin hole, a little around the flange on the frame where the back of the cylinder would ride. No wads but I lube over the balls.
This gun is tuned to perfection and runs as smooth as a baby's butt until I shoot six, then the hammer becomes hard to pull back and just kind of stiff action all the way around. It doesn't do it all the time but most of the time I have to clean it well before I shoot my second cylinder. As soon as I clean it it's as smooth as can be again.
One time it was so bad the hammer would not come back all the way. I checked the gap between the breach and cylinder and that's not a problem.
Any ideas? Mike
