Did a search here & found nothing, so ...

Heads up Lyman's coming out with the next edition.
Personally, I'm a reloading manual junkie.
As soon as it's available I'll be ordering it.
$34.98 for the paperback
$44.98 for the hardcover edition.

Not available just yet, but coming soon.

I would imagine it's being updated because of the new progressive press system they purchased.

Speer #11 was my first manual when I got started in the late 80's but my Lyman #49 has been my favorite and most used (along with Lyman #4 for cast bullets)

I put off getting #50 because it simply didn't have enough new/different data to make it worthwhile, especially when there is the internet now.

Looking forward to #51! (and a #5 cast as well)

I was excited to learn of the 51st edition. I still need a 50th though too. Be interesting to see if they test any of the newer powders with my favorite chamberings. And testing with plated bullets, even though they load like jacketed, it’d be nice to see some actual testing.

I have the Lyman cast 4th and it’s okay. I love that they tested some other makes of bullet moulds. I’d like to see more of that in the 5th.

I just hope it has all the new IMR and Hodgen powders in it ,so there is more than just info from Hodgens , there thin magazine data book a lot eiser to get lost than the Lyman book.

I like the Lyman book. They are not a powder manufacturer, so they usually have a selection of U. S. available (now that's a silly thought) powders.
The boring part prior to the actual data is typically the most useful (and possibly least read) portion of the book. I think some of the past articles about pressure and such should be re-run or updated as the case may be.

I'd like to see a synopsis of changes from the 50th. New front material? New cartridges? New powders?
New Cartridges Included
224 Valkyrie, 22 Nosler, 24 Nosler, 6mm ARC, 6mm Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, 6.5 Wea. RPM, 6.8 Western, 300 PRC, and more

The 50th Anniversary Edition was our first reloading handbook produced in full color. The 51st Edition continues this well received enhancement.

Sounds nice but wouldn’t do me any good. I’m still loading the same loads in 9, 38, & 357 I have for years. 223 is pretty much nailed down too and those are the only calibers I shoot and load for. Sounds good for those that shoot The newfangled calibers that have come out kinda recently.

Would you pay for new powder listings in your favorite calibers? I don't see any of the temperature stabilized powders in 30-30 that I would think hunters might like. Ar-comp seems like a good fit. I'm curious about 8208xbr as well....
