Think of it as an "adjustable" stock versus "collapsible". It permits the operator to adjust the stock for desired length of pull, which may change depending on clothing being worn, or while bearing a rucksack, or while wearing an ammo carrier or body armor. Once you adjust the stock to fit then you leave alone unless a different condition affects the fit.Isn't that the point of a collapsible stock...to be able to reduce the length of the rifle so it can be stored/transported easier? Am I missing something? You still have to adjust the thing eventually..right? ANd more options lead to more confusion...of course, you already know that.
