Been a while since I looked at the Marlin Website and I noticed this. I've always wanted a stainless lever action in .357 and was considering a rossi, but this is the answer to my prayers...does anyone know if they are available yet ?

Just go to the Davidson's Gallery of Guns "Gun Genie" and type in your info. At the very least you'll locate a local Marlin dealer who'll answer your question.

They are now available, if not particularly common. I got one back in November.

MSRP is $750, I believe. I've seen them going for low-to-mid $600s... maybe under $600 if you're lucky.

I am taking it that bukijin's link means it's going to be a standard production item. Which is great, and what many were hoping for.

I've seen on the Web where people have been getting a hold of them since around August or so, and Marlin was taking a "wait and see" approach to this carbine as far as making it standard.


I'm hoping it comes to pass for the 981TS also. I just might pick up one of those. [EDIT: Well - wish granted. Looks like it's on the site, too!]
