Can anyone compare the two in terms of accuracy? I don't care about price, fit/finish, or anything else besides accuracy.

I own a CZ 452 and have shot a 60. I've never compared them side by side in a scientific
manner. My intuition tells me CZ though.

I have a 1986, 60 that I really like. I bought a 452 American 2 months ago and haven't fired the 60 since. I really love the CZ. Groups are half the size with the CZ, especially with Wolf MT.

Well I don't have a CZ 452 Varmint but I do have a CZ 453 Varmint and a Marlin Model 60SS. Does that count?

Shooting both from a rest with a variety of ammo. My CZ 453 Varmint will out shoot my Model 60SS by a fair amount to a bunch depending on the ammo.

A bolt action vs a straight blowback? For absolute accuracy, of course the CZ will be more accurate. It's also significantly more expensive.

That & the fact that the Marlin will shoot minute of squirrel out of the box is why I've got a 60 on layaway ($35 left on payday!)

Same here, but given the cost of a Mod 60 vs. CZ 452 or 453, it's darn accurate.

The Model 60 is quite accurate (easily 1 MOA for 5 shots from mine with 40 grain RN Mini-Mags). But that's quite accurate for its class. A bone-stock .22LR semiauto with an entry-level pricetag that shoots that well is a rare thing. But a bolt-action for several times the price sure BETTER shoot tighter groups.

For one thing, the 60 requires HV ammo. No serious .22LR accuracy shooter uses HV ammo.

In a bolt action, you can use very high-end standard velocity target ammo that will shoot one-hole groups at 50 yards, all day long, in the right rifle. So unless the CZs were complete junk and a ripoff (and they are neither!) they'd shoot better than a semiauto like a 60.

That said, I really like my 60. It's well worth the $150 it costs!

I've owned both (still have a 70PSS which I believe is based on the 60 action and 3 452s.). As other have said, the 60 is a great value and is super accurate for it's price point and being a semi auto. The CZ wins in the accuracy dept, hands down.
