This. IIRC, one of the first firearms to chamber .22lr.....and I think it was in the 1890s? Still made most of the way they used to (minor changes, but still a "real" .22 with real wood to boot)--metal internals, takedown, etc. One of the sweetest .22s I've ever shot was a 39A.heard it was the best 22 rifle lever action

I heard that lead ammo doesnt shoot well . Any thoughts.
