Marvel Unit 1 fit on your 1911?

Do you all have to file down the ejector a little when installing a Marvel Unit 1, or is it just a problem unique to SA 9mm 1911s? I have a Loaded and a Milspec, and I've had to do it on both.

No problems or adjustments needed to install/fit my Marvel Unit 1 kit to a Wilson Classic or Kimber Custom Eclipse pistol (both .45 cal). Have not tried fitting it to an SA pistol or any 9mm pistol.

Don't the 9mm 1911s have their ejectors in a slightly different place than on the normal 45ACP versions?

FWIW, my Marvel #1 fits fine on any 45ACP 1911 I've ever tried it on, Colts, Baers, Browns and Springfield.

Heh--I just looked at the Marvel,

and I discovered it is exactly the same price I paid for my first 1911--an SA mil-spec, blued, in 1988.
