Hello everyone! I am attempting to create a 3d model using maya of a Mateba Model 6 Unica for the purpose of replacing the desert eagle in CounterStrike (and possibly other games). I have been searching for a few days now and have found no good references of the weapon aside from low resolution pictures on google. I was hoping someone here would be gracious enough to direct me to some high resolution images of the more intricate parts of the weapon. Or if they happen to own one, would be so kind as to take a few pictures for me to use. I am not making any money off of this. I do this purely as a hobby because I love video games and I love guns. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

I think one of the guys in "Ghost in the Shell" used a Mateba, it was the one cop they had without all the cybernetics. So check out those sites to see if there are any good vid caps or drawings. Shirow is usually pretty free with his drawings and such, so it is possible some nice weapon drawings are out there.

Yes, Shirow did use a Mateba, but he modified the design as if a "new" model had been made sometime in the future. It's not quite like the existing one.

I wish someone WOULD make new ones. I seriously want one, but they're...pricey. It just looks so much like something that belongs on Firefly!

I NEED one of these guns (mabey the .357) if just for the coolness/oddball factor.;) I just wish that they weren't so rare and expensive.:(

BTW, I loved the Fallout games, Fallout 2 is possibly one of the best games ever made.

I have a smaller version of that "intruder" picture. This one is much more helpful. Thank you for that one.

I looked into the model from G.I.T.S. but as you said, it isn't true to life.

And Fallout 3 is bound to be just as amazing as FO2, with bethesda working on it :D

That is what i have done based on really bad references. Not very accurate as you can see (the cylinder is just a place holder). I'll start over when i get better images. Justin seems to be willing to help me out there, so many thanks to him ^_^

Nice one Oleg. I know the perspective increases the apparent size and length, but it's still pretty large for a .357 revolver.

The Mateba is on my wish list by cool points alone, but probably won't ever be attainable.

Tex
