Went to a gun auction and bought a Mauser 98 custom BAR 219 Imp. Zipper
Custom Bench Rest riffle, Done in 1951 with Washburn Adj.trigger, Brama Bull 1 1/8th. BBL. 20x Target dot J.Unertl Scope w/lens caps and all the Dies & brass! for under 1k. Does anybody now if that was a good deal and what if this is a great shooting gun?? Thanks:evil:

Where would be a good place to find factory ammo?

If you're happy with the deal then it was worth it. To find out if it's a great shooting gun.....just shoot it(NOT being sarcastic,I promise). +1 on the pics!

soon as the snow stops I'll shoot it.I have the dies and brass to reload if no factory ammo is found! thanks

I picked up something similar recently, it was a 40x custom fit into a prone stock with all the bells and wistles one would expect from an early mid 50s target rifle. I think these rifles were the ultimate in thier day, these days a custom rifle smith will say they did it all wrong, but I still like them. :)
