Kind of an odd decision to make. But not sure which to get can get em both for bout same price. So a 20 round drum for my saiga 12 or a start on my first AR.

That drum will be banned before the lower. I have 2 MD drums on the way.

My real advice? Get both, and don't look back.

I'd rather buy 10rd mags for the Saiga than one of the drums. They are way bigger than they need to be, a single-turn drum is nothing more than a box mag bent into a circle. If they would have done a double (or turn they could have made it a lot more compact. Someone is making a 30rd drum for them now as well and it is about the size of a small car tire

I'm with King on this one. The 10rd mags are big, I couldn't imagine trying to shoot with a drum.

I know that the drum will be a good investment, but it is not very practical. I just didn't see the point in spending that much money on a piece of plastic.

A lot of the members on the Saiga forum don't seem like they could afford one mag, yet alone multiple mags that some of them ordered. To each his/her own I suppose.

Investing in AR lowers is probably not a bad idea with the way things are looking in the next elections. I'm considering buying a couple lowers myself over the next few months if I have some money to spare.

A drum is a novelty item I think..If its your go to gun then get a drum..If not build an ar15 and get to work buidling it asap.
