Wow! I am impressed with Midaway and will be ordering lots more stuff from them.

I had ordered some reloading supplies from them a few weeks ago. A shipment came within a week or so but was missing four items. I figured they must have been shipped separately. After a couple ofmore weeks I realize they aren;t coming. I look at the packing slip and it seems to indicate tthey thought all items were included when they first shipped.

I call them on Saturday and explain that even though the packing slip seems to indicate the items were included I have not seen them. After a brief series of questions the customer rep guy says that the four items are on their way to me. :D

They had no way to know if I recieved the missing items or not. Except to trust my word. I had no way to prove it one way or other. Midway just stepped up and without hesitation decided to send me the parts (again, from their perspective).

Whenever a company goes out of its way like this I try to give them at least a token piece of additional business to let them know I plan to do more business with them. So I ordered a set of dies. In the future I will probably buy a press and accessories from them as well, and probably lots of cleaning and gunsmithing tools and supplies as well.

Wow! a gesture like that on their part and they have won me over as a loyal customer.

In other news, water is wet and fire is hot ;)

Midway is great, I've also had good experiences with RCBS.

I agree MidwayUSA is a great company to do business with. They replaced a part for me that broke. I out right told them I broke it trying to install it and was going to order me another one but instead sent me one free of charge because they said " I was a good customer".

I've bought from Midway many times and liked them because I had no problems with orders, the shipments were prompt, they have a wide selction of quality goods, and they have decent prices. But finally having a problem and seeing how they handle it makes me even more appreciative of their commitment to customer service.

For a few bucks they have taken me from being a satisfied customer to a loyal customer. :D

I get two day service from Midway via UPS and their products are always TOP SHELF. IMO, Midway is the single best internet gunner's website there is.

They sent me a "birthday card" thanking me for four years of buying from them.

Their customer service department can't be beaten.

I ordered a caldwell rifle rest from them. It was broken when it arrived. So i called them and told them what had happened and they sent me a new one didn't want proof the old one was broken or anything. The only complaint i ever had about them was the handling charge they used to put on every order. But now they've dropped that if the order is over $50 so i'm left with nothing to complain about :D

I think the handling charge is added to orders under $25, or orders under $40 for dealers.

I've been ordering from midway since the 1980's. yep, a great company. Haven't had to use their customer service yet, but after reading all the posts here, I'm not worried if I ever have to

Midway has been the only merchant name on my gun stuff mastercard for months now.. Great stuff great service, and 2 day shipping for me.

yeah, their shipping seems high, but... my order always arrives in 3 days, so no complaint

Two days from order to my door. Decent prices, most items almost always in stock, great customer service, get to talk to a live human without a 20min hold on the phone......that actually knows what they're talking about and is friendly. Who could ask for more?

You are all missing an importaint point. If you get a C&R (federal collectors license) You can get a discount at at both Midway and Brownells.
Both have dealt fairly with me and all my mail order is with the two of them.
One of the considerations when dealing mail order is shipping cost as

Have to disagree

Midway will not ship ammo to my office in San Francisco, even though it is not illegal to do. OK, they aren't alone - Cabela's won't to it either. Some companies will ship ammo to SF. I called Midway to ask why and they couldn't give a reason. The customer service rep said there must be some restiction - there isn't, and they couldn't cite a restriction or give me a more specific reason.

When I recently started handloading, I put in an order at Midway for some odds & ends, plus cases and brass. They would sell me all the equipment, but they would not ship bullets or cases! Again I asked customer service why, and they gave the same lame non-reasons as before.

As far as I'm concerned, there's no worse customer service than refusing to sell a legal product to someone and not being able or willing to explain why. Fortunately, based on a suggestion here on the forum, I found out about Mid South Shooter's Supply, and I have gotten 2 shipments of bullets and brass so far from them - highly recommended!
