Got my Free sample in mail and figured i would try it out b4 i went and shot HK in ccw class.

So i cleaned the Hk and applyed miltec the way it says. In the previous 600 rounds i had 1 stove pipe(not me shooting it could be limp wrist) and 1 Failure to feed (I was shooting then)..

So i head down to range with 300 rounds of winchester ball this has cycled gun fine for 600 rounds around 60 rounds in i got 3 FTF's and about round 90 3 FTE's.

I took the gun apart could see no build up of crud or brass pieces causing problems. I then wiped it down a reoiled with FP-10 what i had been using B4 and shot the rest of the 300 rounds with no problems..

Thursday night i fired anther 200 down range for ccw class after cleaning pistol During the week and reoiling with fp-10.

Fp-10 is what i was using from day one with the pistol fired all 200 Rounds for the class no prob some as fast as i could pull trigger with quick mag changes.

I lubed it with just as much miltec as i do fp-10 Maybe it wasnt enough but that test of 300 rounds alone has turned me off to it ..

Anyone else had a problem or was i just unluckly ? Ive read that it was really good but i wont use it now on a firearm that i plan to pack not liking it ..

I would figure it's just like ammo, use what your gun likes best. I have been using militec since I bought my pistol and over 1000 rounds later the only problem I have had is a dented primer that didn't fire. My 10/22 FTE's once every 100 or 200 rounds though. Maybe I'll try using FP-10 on it instead of the miltec. I wouldn't throw away the free sample, it may work real well on a future gun, but if it causes your carry peice to become unreliable I wouldn't use it any longer.

Im up to 1275 rounds as of last night. With only 2 rounds as stated in the first post as problem before i used the miltec.. All Rounds were winchester whitebox.

Except 150 Corbons i was trying out for personal defense ammo.. So im ruleing the Ammo out As the problem.

I have 3 45's and have shot thousands of Winchester Whitebox Ammo though them with no Problems what so ever..

Sorry about that i went back and editing the post to hopefully make my self Clear ..

Thats what happens when ya post when you are tired

I've had nothing but good experience with militec. Matter of fact, I think I'm set on militec for life, I got an 8 ounce bottle at a sale for 50 cents.

I lube every single firearm I own with Militec-1...

For me, it's been perfect. After you use Militec-1 and shoot the gun to "warm-up" temperature two or three times, the metal is slick as glass. My AR has NEVER been so quite.

did your failures occur with the same magazine or different magazines? i also have an HK and i bought 2 more factory mags for it. one works perfectly, the other causes FTF's regularly. did your previous FTF occur with that same mag? just a thought. i've used a half dozen different lubes on mine and sometimes its bone dry and it still runs.

I have 3 Hk mags and they happended with all 3 mags. i Had cleaned the mags Before i shot the 300 rounds also so i know they werent dirty.

tc300, I don't doubt what you experienced but I don't see how militec-1 could cause the pistol to malfunction. I have used militec-1 and the grease, tetra products and FP-10 in 10 different pistols and could never tell much difference in how they cycle. I use FP-10 primarily because my pistols do not get as dirty as with the other products and its a lot less expensive, but I have not seen enough difference to cause a malfunction. But, stick with what works for your pistols.

I've had good luck with MiliTech, use it on everything. Gonna have to buy a bottle some day, doubt if they'll keep sending me the freebie samples forever! :D
Since I lube my guns after cleaning not before going to the range I spread a thin film on the parts then put them under a light bulb until they reach "operating" temp.

I like my FP-10 and my Breakfree CLP... no problems with either...
And it don't have to worry about any stupid warming up.
On my old Jeep, yeah... but on a gun?
Life is too short.

I currently use Militec-1 and their grease on all my guns (HKs, SIGS, Colts) and haven't had any problems. I didn't have any problems when using FP10 either.

It Militec-1 doesn't work with your HK I'd certainly go with something else. Makes me wonder WHY it makes your HK malfunction. The HKs I have are the Expert and the Elite. Can't speak for any of the other HK models but mine have run 100% on many different types of lube.

I'll take that free sample from you if you don't want them. Militec-1 is pretty good to me. I treat it like holy oil for my guns. It can remove nasty stuffs better that Hoppe without the smell.

I am still using my 16oz bottle for one year. It is good stuffs.

Mines Run fine with everything else but the miltec maybe it was just a odd conicdeince(sp).

But since its my carry gun i dont want to try again once bitten twice shy ill try it on my other guns that arent a carry ..

To give it a fair shake ..Just wanted to see if anyone else had the same problems

professional people get my business

I like Militec-1 because their service is great and they are professional people. I never like products with ads showing sci-fi result to trash other people. Everyone is trying to make a living. I think people can prove that their product is good without labeling other business as inferior.

I am not happy with fp10 because I saw on some forum a poster name fp10 kept making bad comments about all other products. He's the president of fp10.

All I know is I called for a free sample of Militec-1 and got the shipment 3 days later. I used it on my AR-15 and AK47 and loved it. I called and talked to the representative to ask if I can drive across stateline and order a bunch of that stuffs, and she told me to no jumping on conclusion and finish the free sample before ordering. It took me 6 months to finish using that little tube of holy oil and 2 years to finish the little pot of grease. I have purchased 2 16oz bottle of the oil and still have a hard time finishing the first bottle after a year. They're nice enough to give me another free grease, which I am sure will last at least 3 years.

That is what I call great service. I get the same treatment from Mobil 1, Honda dealership and Owner Association headquarter, and Yamaha bike shop.

I think AMSOIL auto oil and Harley have the same philosophy as FP10.

Whatever the problem was, I couldn't imagine it was caused by Militec. It is great stuff. I use it on all my pistols. The mililtary can't get enough of it these days. Many soldiers ordered it themselves to use in Iraq.

My handguns (including a USPc) and rifles all love Militec-1. I'm going to switch over to it exclusively. I'm also very please with Blue Wonder. The cute little armadillo just makes me happy.

I've had really good performance from Militec lube & grease and I shoot 1000's of rounds through my HKs every year but if you've had problems, go w/ what works for you!

i actually try put those running drops back into the bottle. that's how much i love this stuffs. it is holy oil.
