Hi Folks,

Does anyone know if any aftermarket sites are available for Ruger's Mini 14 or Mini 14 ranch rifle? I like the rifle, but don't like the el cheapo factory sites...

Thanks

I put an Eagle front sight / flash suppressor on mine - works much better than the old fin sight.

Still use the old rear sight - do you have the ranch model?

Thanks GW45...

currently I don't own either, but I've been thinking about buying one used. I''m leaning towards the Ranch Rifle, since I really don't like the rear site on the standard model.

Can you tell me where I get an Eagle front sight/flash hider?

Thanks,

Mini 14/30 Flashider With HK Style Front Sight

www.gunaccessories.com has them for about $45.

It's called the Flashider with HK Style Front Sight. I bought a normal Mini-14 (non-ranch), I didn't like the thin, flimsy rear sight on the Ranch Model and the "standard Mini-14" has the thicker rear sight.

I also added an Eagle Scope mount (for the Mini-14), it takes about 5 minutes to put on, topped it with a Simmons Whitetail Expedition 3x9x40 scope.

Replaced the stock with a Hogue over molded rubber stock, love the way it feels.:D

Bought (5) 20 rnd mags from CheaperThanDirt.Com (Cheaper Than Dirt). For less than $20 a piece, not factory - but work without flaw.

Using Remington American Eagle ammo, I can hold about a 1 1/2" to 2" group at 100 yds - which is fine with me - don't really need a sub-MOA out of it.

Brownells and Hogue are good places to find Mini-14 parts and accessories - there's also a ventilated barrel shroud by Eagle that I thought about and just didn't get it.

If you look you can turn a Mini-14 into a bullpup - the stock is out on the internet....

Have fun and happy shooting....
