You are certainly right about the polishing as well as the quality of the bluing on these Trooper MK III's-which IMHO was better than most any other Brand of revolver except for the Colt Python-which is saying something! Actually, the bluing on the above Trooper MK III, looks even better in person than in my pictures-because my camera's flash had washed out some of the bluing.

I don't intend to shoot this Trooper as it's just so mint. I'd rather shoot something that's less mint. I say this in light of knowing that guns were made to be fired. However, I tend to enjoy keeping guns mint, if I originally had received them in this condition.:uhoh: Thanks for the compliment on my pictures-but, I still have much to learn about taking pictures. Hopefully, in time, my pictures will gradually improve to a much higher standard?

Looks good Slick. I wouldn't shoot it either. Shoot the stuff that are <98% finish. Traditionally, collector "grade" is 95% plus depending on the firearm rarity and so forth. All condition rules of thumb are off if it is a rare firearm.

price

How much is a trooper worth theese days? I saw one at the local range yesterday and it had a $400 on the tag.

Thanks,

Beautiful piece! --just like the Smith M-15. . . . ;)

QUESTION #1: Where do you keep your time travel machine and is it available for rental? :D

QUESTION #2: Did you spend part of your life at Vandenberg AFB? :scrutiny:

No, I have never been at the Vandenberg AFB! Troopers in mint condition here on the west coast are priced between $550 and $600! All Colt prices have been going through the roof here!

Thanks for you comments regarding the "collectibility" rules!
