Model "1" Sales .22 AR-15

Current issue of SGN has an expansive article on a Model 1 Sales .22 AR-15. Anyone have one? Does it run (the DPMS AP4 was a great concept but had feeding problems apparently)?

Thinking of it for future birthdays of nephews. TIA.

I've heard good things about them in the rimfire/pistol cal forum at arfcom, however I dont have any experiance with them myself.

It would be nice if M1S had them on the website.

Did the SGN article have any information on what mags they use? It would be nice if M1S used an existing magazine rather than making their own. BDM makes them for the Ceiner, M261, and I think a CZ V22 mag is in the works.

I have bought 2 different barrels from M1Sales. One in 5.56 and the other in 6.8SPC. To date, both guns perform very well. My 5.56 AR is also built with one of their upper receivers. Again....no problems with any of their "stuff". One in .22lr.....I have no actual data or input. Since I have had good luck with everything else, I would not hesitate to consider one if I was in the market for one.

I had a Rock River lower setting around a long time. I found a Model 1 catalog and decided to do the build. All the parts, internal, upper and all came from there. The rifle shoots like a dream. Their parts are quality and I will not hesitate to order anything from them.

PGP, how many rounds have you shot through your .22? Does it function better with any particular brands?

Anyone try low velocity ammo in theirs? Wondering how it cycles with sub sonic ammo. OK, I keep thinking about a SBR with a silencer on it.....
