ok, after any number of searches here, i decided that for the money, the rem 1100 20 ga. is the shotgun i am wanting - i think. i am after a very lightweight 20 gauge shotgun. the gun's sole purpose is to hunt pheasants. nothing more. fwiw, i don't get that excited about pheasants but it is a family tradition; i'm expected to chase 'em. as such, i want to spend minimally on this gun, $400 is the absolute max, and $300 is better (sorry fellas, my thing is rifles, scatterguns just don't get me all wound up!).
so, after one of the searches on here, i decided i need an 1100 that has the 'lw', or 'lt' (and i assume 'lc' as well). anyway, i found an older 1100 at the gun shop, but nowhere could i find any reference to it being an lt, lc, or lw. the gun had 'imp cyl' stamped on the barrel (no screw in chokes), no ventilated rib, and was in 20 ga... the serial number was L7#####X.
so, is this a light 20 gauge? and is it built on a 20 gauge frame? thanks for any help.
